Counselling

Counselling is a talking therapy aimed at allowing you to discuss your problems and feelings in a safe way with a trained & professional person in the knowlege that it will be confidential and between us only.
By expressing your feelings in depth in this way, the process of healing can start to begin.
People come to see me for many different reasons, the most often being Anxiety, Relationship Issues & Breakups and Depression.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on challenging and changing your unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that have been holding you back.
CBT aims to help you deal with overwhelming issues in a more possitive way by breaking them down into smaller parts which is far much easier to handle. CBT is more structured than talking alone & focuses on stopping negative thought cycles.  It is very effective with OCD, GAD, Bi-polar mood/management, panic attacks, phobias and much more.

Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

Mindulness and Cognitve therapy, when used with Meditation is also known as MBCT and is designed to lower your emotional distress levels by focusing on the breath and being more in the present moment.
This practice gives you a chance to review your thoughts without having to react to them. Mindfulness is very effective for a busy mind, or if you are prone to bouts of depression or regular emotional lows.
It is delivered in 6 to 8 week blocks and you will aquire the necessary skills to develop and continue using the tools as a beneficial way of life.
