This popular course is a four week beginners introduction to the wonderful benefits of Mindfulness & Meditation.
The NHS recognises that Mindfulness is a beneficial tool for feeling good about life and yourself, for improved mental well-being and depression.
This course is an introduction to Mindfulness and is based on the clinical programmes of MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) and (MBCT) mindfulness based cognitive therapy.
You will learn how to bring awareness to the present moment through meditation practice and how to use this skill in your daily life. A Four session course, each session lasting 1.5 hours.
Sessions includes: group meditation exercises – instruction & practice, discussion, course material/manual sheets and a FREE practice mediation CD or Mp3 Downloads.

What the course involves…
Guided Practice with the various Mindfulness Meditations; body-scan, mindful movements, mini-meditation, eating, walking and sitting meditations.
You will be introduced to and learn the meditation practices in class and explore your experience of those practices using home practice CD’s and handouts for guidance.
The home practice is a beneficial part of the course and people who commit themselves to a little practice per day will benefit most from doing the course. The course has no religious content and is suitable for beginners. No psychical exertion or difficult sitting positions are required, however, we do explore some mindful movement and gentle stretching.
